The folks at USConstitution.Net have closed the discussion on the 17th Amendment, which I posted about on 18 June 2007. However, they have opened further debate under the title, 17th Amendment - Another Look. For those interested in the repeal or the 17th Amendment itself, it is worth your time to look over. However, I will advise you that the folks that run and moderate the site are decidedly pro-status quo and big centralized government. Knowing how your opponent thinks is always instructional, however, it does get maddening as you can see in the many of the retorts.
