Hey! Wait a minute. It sounds like you have given up. It is too soon and there is too much at stake to give up.
I am running for the Indiana House of Representatives mainly to seek the repeal of the 17th Amendment. I believe that the states are more fed up with the abuse of power by the federal government now than ever before and that now may be the time for us to push back. That is what the tea party movement is all about. Why can we not join forces and try to accomplish this?

I don't think that any of this is or needs to go into hibernation. What it requires is a thinking-through of what would germinate the repeal process.

You compared the repeal effort to the planting of mustard seeds once. The ground is willing. What we have to consider are the other conditions to make it grow.

I personally think alot of clues are left to us in the 17th's ratification process and the climate that led to it. This has to begin on the state level and the consistent refusal of federal monies by state legislatures.

Only with the assertion of independence can independence be won by and for those who seek it.

We should look at this as a court case; the opening arguments are over. It's time for the trial to begin.

Good luck on your run and yes, I am giving up on this for now because here in Ohio we have bigger fish to fry. Both wings of the one party are forcing the state to slowly begin implementation of Agenda 21 and it's going on in IN too. But we have to be real, how are we going to repeal the 17th when the nation slept through the NDAA?

John;

Until one state nullifies a piece federal legislation no seed will grow.

Here in Ohio we passed a constitutional amendment to stop OBama Care, but yet our REPUBLICAN GOV John Kasich as taken two federal payments for OBama Care and has begun to implement it; what does that say about the system. No as long as socialism continues in this country the 17th has no chance of being repealed. We are socialist country.
