The Constitution: A Love Story; The American Prospect
I hoped to find something meaningful in the article linked above, but as usual, a Progressive treatment of any type of constitutional discussion is mired in the history of the South, and of course a little narcissism. Like any literature review it's always worth reading another perspective, but you won't find depth in this one.
This web-log calls for the repeal of the 17th Amendment and addresses the hegemony committed by the US Senate. The first significant step to remove the domination and unmistakable corruption deriving from the National Government and the restoration of the Federal is to repeal the 17th Amendment. Americans should fear the steady hegemonic growth by the Senate oligarchy because the US Constitution cannot be spoiled by bombs, the courts, or the President, but only through malevolent legislation.

... and this is a law professor.
Sad.
He's part of the supposed intellectual elite in this country that "knows' what's best for us, how we should live our lives and how the future should "progress" in their distorted world view.
