Sen. Rockefeller: FCC Should Take FOX News, MSNBC Off Airwaves; RealClearPolitics

HT: DrudgeReport
SEN. JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-WV): "There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to FOX and to MSNBC: 'Out. Off. End. Goodbye.' It would be a big favor to political discourse; our ability to do our work here in Congress, and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and more importantly, in their future."

Comment Mr. Rockefeller, excuse me Senator, how about offering nice little packages of information created by say PBS and NPR, which you could sell to us at an affordable rate, tax not included, then we'd get the nice message you think is appropriate, to make it easier for you to do that overly stressful job you have being a US Senator. But first you need to get rid of that pesky little clause in the US Constitution called the 1st Amendment.

I'm not sure how half-witted our senators can be, but Rockefeller really hit the high mark for idiocy with this little clip. But that's what we get when we enacted the 17th Amendment; US Senators wasting our tax dollars holding committee meetings to discuss America's television packages.

Here's novel idea, how about getting rid of the regulations limiting this industry and hurting the citizens ability to choose; to choose for themselves. Isn't that what some call the free market?

Jay Rockefeller, one of a hundred reasons to repeal the 17th Amendment.
