This web-log calls for the repeal of the 17th Amendment and addresses the hegemony committed by the US Senate. The first significant step to remove the domination and unmistakable corruption deriving from the National Government and the restoration of the Federal is to repeal the 17th Amendment. Americans should fear the steady hegemonic growth by the Senate oligarchy because the US Constitution cannot be spoiled by bombs, the courts, or the President, but only through malevolent legislation.
I would really like to know more about how to get involved in repealing the 17th amendment... I agree that this country needs change... but not open ended undefined blanket generalizations... it needs specific direction... one that begins by moving away from special interest legislation and disembowelment of states representation in Washington... I am wondering if there is a petition (I haven't found one yet) that I can actively gather signatures for... I would greatly appreciate your help locating one.
The first step is to become knowledgeable with the founders intent concerning Congress and the States. Second, read some of the articles I have posted on the side of the weblog; they are all well written and researched, and provide the most current scholarship on the subject. Thirdly, join the discussion board, which is linked on the weblog as well. Then get involved with a group within your state because if this idea really gets going, the states are going to have be involved to push the effort.
One group that is behind this is the remnant of the Ron Paul campaign, which is not called the Campaign for Liberty. I belong to one such group here in Ohio called the Ohio Freedom Alliance.
